Jan's Career Journey: From BP to Soulful Beats

From the Office to the Studio: Jan Lovett’s Musical Debut with 'Peaches'

I’m excited to share that the launch of my debut album, ‘Peaches,’ was recently featured in the BP Society Newsletter. They’ve generously allowed me to include the full article here on my website for you to enjoy below:

A debut album called ‘Peaches’ to sweeten your ears.

Janice Newcombe (and later Jan Lovett) worked for BP Coal, BP Coal-Oil Fuels, BP Ventures, BP Oil International (Personnel), BP Education (as the UK coordinator for The BP Schools Link Scheme) and BP Community Affairs (working closely BP Espana SA in both the Madrid offices and at the oil refinery in Castellon de la Plana). Janice has been busy since retiring and has just launched her debut album.

Janice says, “I came to BP in early 1981 as ‘Janice Newcombe the temp who stayed’.  I became a permanent member of staff in September 1981 and finally left the company under voluntary redundancy in 1995. I loved my time at BP.

“I have just launched my debut album, ‘Peaches’ and created a website Janlovettmusic.co.uk where you can listen to my first track ‘Lovers and Friends’ and find details of how to purchase my CD.

I hope you enjoy listening!
